It is situated so that it overlooks the historic Mill Pond and is adjacent to Horace Austin Park and the Mill Pond Trail. The library's circulation is over 90,000 volumes which include a wide variety of newspapers, magazines, CD's, and DVD's. The library also features public use of its computers, audio-visual equipment, and is a Free Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Historic Paramount Theater

depotThe Historic Paramount Theater was built in 1929 as a first run movie house, it is a unique atmospheric theatre with a Spanish motif. Restoration of the Paramount began in 1989. Today, The Austin Area Commission for the Arts presents a full season of performing arts and makes the theater available to the community and artistis for private rental.
